August F. Kohr instruments represent a step-up from the step-ups. The HC600C model is a fine advancing level cello, crafted using well-flamed, seasoned maple and choice spruce, with additional drying time at each stage of construction. Hand-graduated to produce more resonant acoustic properties, this cello is well suited for players who desire an open sound with good projection, medium tonal range, clear voice and even, quick response throughout. Finishes range from rich red-brown to warm golden-brown. Adjusted with D'Addario Kaplan strings, ebony Parisian eye pegs, carbon fiber endpin, Despiau "C" level bridge, and composite tailpiece. 4/4, 7/8, 3/4, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, & 1/10 sizes available. (D'Addario Helicore strings on fractional sizes).
